Road Skills Clinic

As there was no attendance for the Apr 17 clinic, we may reschedule later in the year.  Stay tuned.

This is a series for those looking to get comfortable riding in a group and is free for all cycling club members.  Membership forms will be available at the clinic, but it would be helpful and speed things up if new members print the form at home.  Membership is $30 for the year and cheques can be made payable to the Sault Cycling Club.

The lessons will be progressive, so riders will benefit from attending all three.  We’ll meet at the McMeeken Arena (Map: Google) at 6:30pm, have a discussion and “ground school” followed by a short group ride to practice your newly-learned skills.  Bring your bike and dress to ride.

If you are new to riding or feel you could use a brush-up on these skills, please attend the clinic before joining the Wednesday night rides (exception for the May 3 and May 31 hill-climbs which are solo efforts and do not require group skills).

In deference to the fact that many new riders don’t have the right equipment and kit to ride in bad weather, we will reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Volunteers wanted:  If you’ve been road riding for a number of years and would be interested in helping people get into the sport, please contact Daniel Brosemer <dan@brosemer.org>.
