Name: Jack Perrotta-Lewin
Position: Mountain Bike Director

A recent arrival into Canada from the UK and an even more recent arrival into the Soo. Having arrived in October of 2020 I was blown away by the community feel of the city and the outdoor recreation opportunities on our doorstep. I enjoy lots of different disciplines of cycling but can mostly be found trail riding or bike touring/bike packing out in the wilds. My adult life has been pretty much defined by one big bicycle trip from August 2015 to August 2016 that ultimately took me to 20 different countries across two continents and introduced me to my Canadian now wife thanks to warmshowers. Outside of cycling I still like to rock climb (I only started cycling as something to do on days too wet to climb!), hike and camp, ski and explore new places.

I joined the club as I was instantly drawn to being a part of the community and helping to build on the great work the cycling club has done so far for trail development and cycling advocacy in the city and the surrounding area. I hope to be able to offer some input and support for ongoing projects for the future.

I love cycling in its many forms as it has taken me to some pretty amazing spots around the world and introduced me to some incredible people. Closer to home getting out on the bike is always a welcome way to finish the working week and spend some time with some like minded people as well as explore the local area. I am lucky as my job allows me to pass on inspiration and get people excited to ride on a daily basis too!
