January 7, 2021

Crimson Ridge: 1:00 pm
Presently it is -3C with clear sunny skies. Almost a perfect bluebird sky today. Trails are nice and firm today all around, fairly smooth to ride, and nice to snowshoe.

Hiawatha Highlands: The Crystal Creek Fat Biking trail is now signed!! Look for the white trail markers with an orange outline. 🧡 We’ll update you again once the signs are up for Mabel Lake!

January 6, 2021

Crimson Ridge: All Bike and Hike trails are in great shape considering little snow with mild temps. Excellent riding with trail firm and fairly smooth.

Hiawatha Highlands: No grooming needed. The trails are dialed even with the mild temperatures yesterday!!!

January 4, 2021

Crimson Ridge: The only trail to be groomed today was the Family Trail. All trails still firm enough despite the mild spell.

January 3, 2021

Hiawatha Highlands
No grooming today but the trails are in excellent shape!

Sault Golf Club: 11:00 am
Trails are wide and hard packed for all skill levels.

Crimson Ridge: 9:30 am
Trails were left alone this morning as temps are presently hovering -1 to warming this afternoon. They are somewhat tighter this morning so pressures somewhat higher than we have been riding over the last week or so.

January 2, 2021

Finn Hill: 2:30 pm
The trails are rocking’, get out and ride!

Whitefish Island: 1:00 pm
If you’re looking for a nice easy ride, the east side of the island is heavily packed from foot traffic and is great to ride! The west side of the island still has some loosely packed snow around footprints that makes for a bumpier ride.

Hiawatha Highlands: 1:00 pm
Trails are in good condition from yesterday’s grooming. Recommended 2.5-3 psi. Reminder to stay to the farthest left (opposite the classic ski track) when riding on the ski trails.

• Ridge Run, Flow, Wave & Yoda are riding great!
• The Inner Loop ski trail is extremely soft so it’s recommended to stick to the red snowshoe trail in order to get to the top of Squishy.
• Squishy, Rootin2, and Rootin are good.
• Guillotine is soft and chewed up.
• Jedi is soft and has post holes from walkers.
• Anymal is rock solid!
✴️ Please use the ski trail to bypass to Anymel / Side Track (dependent on your direction) and avoid Wedding Crasher until it tightens up.
• Side Track was firm and fast and same with Nemesis.
⚠️ The first berm on Nemesis is chewed up but the second one is in good shape!
• The Final Boss is very soft and chewed up (still ridable it you have studs or Bud and Lous) and riding 3 psi.
• The straight stretch on and the Kids trail is fast!!

Crimson Ridge: 8:30 am
All trails were re-groomed this morning with another mild day forecasted.

January 1, 2021

Maple View / Finn Hill: 5:30 pm
Riders were out tonight and reported that these trails are in great condition! They’re a bit narrow as it’s foot traffic that keeps it packed. (Riding 4” Tires, 4.5 psi)

Sault Golf Club: 12:00 pm
Riders reported that the trails are hard packed due to a lot of activity! These trails should be in great condition until the next snowfall.

Hiawatha Highlands:10:30 am
The snow dog was out yesterday afternoon and is heading out now to packs things again. We’ll update you on the conditions when he’s done. Happy New Year!! 🥳
Update: 12:30 pm
Grooming is complete. There are some very soft spots that will firm up as the day goes on. Recommend 3-4 Psi. Tires were also dragged along Anymel and Wedding Crasher again.
*Wedding Crasher is very soft to bike, so please use the ski trail to bypass this trail to Anymel until it has time to set.

Crimson Ridge: 9.00 am
All trails regroomed this morning after a very busy day of use. Expected soft conditions again today so pressure accordingly. Please be mindful of all trail users and enjoy the beautiful day!

Hiawatha Highlands: 3:30 pm UPDATE.
Some of our dedicated volunteers were out at dragging tires on Anymel, Wedding Crasher and Side Track this afternoon. *The trail is still soft.

Snowshoeing is welcomed on the Fat Bike trails (it helps us keep them packed 😉)

**The snow-dog is back up and running and should be hitting the trails later tonight for grooming.

December 29, 2020

The Crystal trails were finished being groomed today at 10:00 am. We had a lot of snow fall over night so we are trying out a tire drag to smooth and pack the trail.
Recommended psi is 3. Air down if needed.

December 28, 2020

Volunteers were out with the snowdog early this morning at Hiawatha Highlands. Trail condition is  loose snow over hard packed snow that will firm up throughout the day. Recommended Tire Pressure: 4psi, air down if needed.
