Greg Prodan, Director at Large

I grew up on St. Joseph Island, east of Sault Ste. Marie and I have a passion for outdoor silent sports that include cycling, running, skiing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.

As a child and teenager cycling was my main mode of transportation.  Friends were few and far between out in the sticks and a bicycle was what my parents gave me to get around the country side with as they were not fond of motorcycles.  As an adult I still enjoy commuting on my bicycle every chance I get.

I moved to the Sault in 2006 and not long afterwards I got into the local cycling scene.  I am not picky when it comes to bicycles, MTB, road, gravel, touring, fatty? YES PLEASE!…  Over the last 15 years I have engaged in all facets of recreational cycling and have participated in quite a few races in Ontario and Michigan.

My personal cycling goal for the year is to get out with my family as much as possible and to complete a 400km backroads ride in September known as ‘Dan’s Birthday Ride”.

As a Director at Large I hope to bond with other executive club members and help the club achieve Sault Cycling Club goals.  I am especially looking forward to helping out with the KSS and Sprokids programs this summer.
