Suggested Touring/Sportive Ride – Sunday, May 8th – Echo Bay/Sylvan Valley

As some of you know, I will be away for the next few rides. I am looking for a volunteer to lead the Sunday outings until the first week-end of June included. Anybody interested? It’s not a big deal, just come up with a route, say “GO!” at the departure time and “Thanks” at the end! I will still be connected so I can help with route ideas. For this week-end I can suggest the following:

Echo Bay – Sylvan Valley

  • Depart from John Rhodes Sunday May 8th at 10:30
  • Take Queen Street all the way to Fournier
  • Trunk Rd then 17B through Garden River
  • Echo Bay
  • In Echo Bay, turn left on Church Street
  • Cross Highway 17, up the hill on 638 towards Sylvan Valley
  • Continue on 638 for about 7km, turn right on McCarrell Lake Rd
  • Right on Watson Rd
  • Cross Cemetery Rd then turn left on Fords Rd E
  • Right on Bar River Rd then back to the Highway and Echo Bay

Total distance should be around 73km. Shorter options are with a departure in Garden River (45km) or Echo Bay (25km)
