Hey, ladies, the sun is setting earlier and earlier, but we’ll have one last women’s road ride tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 7PM, since I had to cancel last week’s ride. I’ll do a nice 20km loop from the McMeeken arena. Hope to see you there.
Wednesday will be our Wednesday Worlds starting at 7. We’ll meet at the lighthouse in Richard’s Landing once again.
The drop ride will start with a neutral roll out to the turn onto F&G Line, at which point the game is on. It will end at the Sportsmans sign at the top of the Gawas Bay hill climb, at which point you can neutrally ride back to town; no need to wait for everybody, though. Remember to obey traffic signs and ride safely. Here’s a copy of the map for anybody who may want it.
I will do a 20km C ride for those that want to ride more socially.
I’m going to be the one, I’m going to be the one to chicken out. I’m canceling–postponing really, we’ll ride next week since we’ve had so few rides–tonight’s ride. We are under a warning for a thunderstorm and high winds (70-90km). Those are dangerous and extremely unpleasant conditions (I’ve ridden in them before) and the radar is showing this storm on it’s way with little chance of it deviating course.
I apologize and hope this reaches everybody in time.
There will be a women’s road ride will tomorrow (August 27th) at 7pm. We’ll meet at McMeeken Arena and leave as close to 7 as possible since it’s getting darker earlier. I’ve got a nice 20km route planned, rain or shine.
Sorry for forgetting to post last night.
We will meet tonight at 7pm at the lighthouse in Richard’s Landing.
The A-B ride will be sprint regroups again along the same route we’ve been using. We will have three sprints and then ride neutrally between them.
Sprint 1 – Starts at the turn onto A Line and ends at Kentvale sign just before K Line.
Sprint 2 – On Hilton Rd. It starts at the 10th Line intersection and ends at the 20th Line intersection.
Sprint 3 – Gawas Bay Hill from the F & G Line intersection to the Sportsman’s Storage sign.
The C ride will be a social loop encompassing Gawas Bay hill. It will be 20km as planned, but can be expanded depending on what we want to ride.
