Meet the Club – Communications Director, Cindy Pruce

Hi! I’m Cindy ???? I took over as the SCC’s Communications Director this past spring. I look forward to continually providing you with updates and information on what’s going on in our cycling community.

Born and raised in SSM, I moved away for a short period of time for my education returning in 2007. The Sault has everything an outdoor enthusiast could want within a short drive, so I knew I wouldn’t stay away long.

I work at our local utility, PUC Services Inc. as the Operations Assistant and am the chair of our Employees Association and Safety Awareness Team. I love organizing events and getting people involved.

I’m the mom of an amazing 2.5 year old girl and am working hard to share my passion of cycling with her. (She’s loving it so far!)

I started biking in my early twenties when I was looking for a new summer outdoor activity. Biking has made a big impact on my life and changed who I am for the better. It made me a more confident and strong person. I’ve met so many amazing people along the way that I never would have crossed paths with otherwise.

My favourite type of biking is Mountain biking! I love the thrill of going fast, winding through the trees along flow trails and riding downhill.

I joined the Sault Cycling Club Executive earlier this year. I’m excited to help spread my love for biking and get more people of all ages and skill levels out riding the trails! Not only is it fun, you get to explore the outdoors, it’s great exercise, good for your mental health and can lead to building confidence that you never knew you had.
