Aug 1 Road Ride – Wednesday Night Worlds – St. Joseph Island

Reminder: Rides are now starting at the large parking lot in Richards Landing at 7:00pm.  Some may choose to stick around for pizza and beer after. Map: Google.

Remember that you must be a member of the club to ride.  Membership is only $30.  I’d appreciate it if you purchased your membership prior to the ride, but if you’re unable, please show up early and I’ll accept your membership.

The A and B groups this week will ride a drop-ride at race intensity.  We’re not racing, but it’s good practice!  I’ve kept all loops off gravel to the best of my knowledge, but if we hit gravel, neutralize for that section.

A group: Expect to ride hard.  This group usually gives no quarter.  Roll out neutral from the parking lot along back streets and out to the intersection with D-Line and 10th Sideroad.  Cross the stop sign still neutral and turn left on F&G Line to begin riding hard.  Turn right on V-Line (Hwy 548) and again on I-Line.  Left on 20th Sideroad to Hilton Road and turn right.  Left on 10th Sideroad and up the hill.  Right on P-Line and follow Hwy 548 back to Richard’s Landing.  The first person to the Richard’s Landing Sign goes home with all the marbles *.  Map: RidewithGPS

B group: The B group will start out the same as the A group but diverge at Hwy 548.  Roll out neutral from the parking lot along back streets and out to the intersection with D-Line and 10th Sideroad.  Cross the stop sign still neutral and turn left on F&G Line to begin riding hard.  Cross the highway and on to Gawas Bay Rd and left on Canoe Point Rd.  Follow that in to Hilton Beach.  Turn right on Hwy 548 and left on I-line then again on 20th Sideroad.  Turn right on Hilton Rd and right at the church on 10th Sideroad.  Head down the hill to the finish line at F&G Line then roll in easy to Richard’s Landing to meet up.   Map: RidewithGPS

C group: This will be social, no-drop ride roughly following the route shown on the linked map, but will be adapted based on the pace and ability of the riders who show up.  Map: RidewithGPS.

If you’re not sure which group you should ride with, we have a breakdown at the end of the formats page based on the pace or power that you normally ride at.

* Marbles are figurative.  You will receive zero marbles. 🙂
